Prudential Bank Limited has reasserted its dedication to community development and inclusivity with a donation to the Masjid-ul Oudwah (Tamale Central Mosque) in support of the Islamic community.
The gesture forms part of the bank’s ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives and its recognition of the diverse communities it serves across Ghana.
The donation comes at a time as the Muslim community prepares towards the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha, one of the most important festivals in the Islamic calendar.
Speaking at a brief ceremony, Manager of the PBL Tamale Branch, Sumaila Mahama, said the donation is not a one‑off event but part of the Bank’s consistent approach to community engagement in the Northern Region, saying the Bank has a long history of supporting local initiatives and responding to the needs of the people it serves.
“This is what we do for our communities. We live here, we work here, and we share in the joys and responsibilities of our neighbours. Supporting the mosque as well as preparations ahead of Eid‑ul‑Adha is simply an extension of our everyday commitment to being a dependable partner,” Mr. Mahama said.
Receiving the donation, Imam of the Mosque, Alhaji Mutala Yahaya, noted that the Bank’s gesture reinforces the spirit of togetherness that Eid-ul-Adha itself symbolises.
He urged other corporate bodies to emulate Prudential Bank’s example and support religious communities in practical, respectful ways.
