The Bawku Municipal Director of Education, Isaac Agbeko Azasoo, has confirmed that calm has been restored at Bawku Senior High School following an incident in which some final-year students allegedly assaulted a teacher.

According to him, normal academic activities have resumed at the school, with students returning to their classrooms and continuing with their examinations without further disruptions.

The incident, which generated concern among education authorities and members of the public, reportedly occurred within the school premises and involved a teacher who was allegedly attacked by some final-year students.

The development raised fears about the safety of teachers and the potential impact on academic work, particularly at a time when students are preparing for and writing examinations.

However, speaking to Citi News, Mr. Azasoo assured parents, guardians, and the general public that the situation had been brought under control and that the school was operating normally.

He explained that teaching and learning had fully resumed and that students were focused on their examinations, bringing a sense of normalcy back to the school community.

Mr. Azasoo also disclosed that no arrests have so far been made in connection with the alleged assault.

He noted that investigations into the matter have been complicated by the circumstances under which the incident occurred.

According to him, the alleged attack took place under the cover of darkness, making it difficult for authorities to identify and isolate the individuals responsible for the act.

He also used the opportunity to caution students against taking matters into their own hands whenever they have concerns or grievances.
