Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North and a member of Parliament’s Select Committee on Health, Frank Yeboah, has criticised the continued non-operationalisation of the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipal Hospital at Trede, describing the situation as unacceptable.
According to him, the facility, which was constructed under the Agenda 111 programme, has been completed and fitted with supporting infrastructure, yet remains closed to the public.

Mr. Yeboah raised concerns over the delay during a Minority Caucus inspection tour of the hospital, noting that the situation persists at a time when pressure on existing health facilities continues to rise.

He questioned why the hospital had still not been commissioned despite its readiness for use.
“I was on one of the radio stations yesterday and I said NPP completed this hospital in Trede, people were calling to say that it is not true and that if it was completed, why wasn’t it put to use. Now we are here. Look at this doctors bungalow; there are refrigerators, bedsheets, washing machines.

“So what is preventing His Excellency John Mahama from just operationalising this facility for the benefit of the people of Atwima Kwanwoma and Ghana so that the pressure on Komfo Anokye will come down,” he said.
Mr. Yeboah added that the Minority members of the Health Committee will meet after their tour to review their findings and decide on the appropriate steps to push for the hospital’s opening.
