The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sanarigu, Imoro Abdulai, has urged exhibitors participating in the Northern Business Fair to look beyond showcasing their products and use the platform to build sustainable business relationships.

Speaking on the first day of the fair on Saturday, July 25, Mr Imoro Abdulai underscored the essence of the event, which provides an opportunity for businesses to connect, learn from one another and explore new opportunities that can contribute to their growth.

“Every successful business represented here contributes to our nation’s progress by creating jobs, generating income, paying tax and providing livelihoods for families,” he said.

The Sanarigu MCE highlighted the municipality’s economic potential, citing its hardworking population, energetic youth, fertile agricultural lands, vibrant markets and investment opportunities as key strengths that can support business growth in the area.

According to him, Sanarigu’s strategic location within the Tamale metropolis positions it as a potential hub for commerce, agribusiness, manufacturing and innovation in Northern Ghana.

He affirmed his commitment to creating a business-friendly environment through improved infrastructure, enhanced market facilities, support for youth entrepreneurship and skills development, as well as stronger collaboration with the private sector.

“I encourage every exhibitor to see this event not only as an opportunity to display products but also as a chance to establish lasting business relationships, learn from each other and explore new business opportunities,” he stated.

He urged young entrepreneurs to remain committed to their goals, emphasising that every successful business begins with an idea, determination and the courage to take the first step.

The Northern Business Fair, organised by Channel One TV and Citi FM, runs until Sunday, July 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. The fair is powered by Channel One TV with support from Citi FM and sponsored by Ecobank, the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), and Northshore Apparel Ghana Ltd.
