Sponsors of the 2026 Northern Business Fair have reaffirmed their commitment to partnering with Channel One TV and Citi FM to promote local businesses and drive economic growth in Northern Ghana.

Speaking to Citi News on the sidelines of the fair in Tamale on Sunday, July 26, representatives of the sponsoring organisations said their continued support reflects a commitment to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), agribusinesses and local entrepreneurs.

Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Maxwell Asare Ampadu, said the Authority partnered with the organisers to create awareness of investment opportunities in the petroleum sector.

“We partnered with Channel One TV to showcase the business opportunities in the downstream petroleum value chain to potential investors in the Northern Region.”

The Zonal Director of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Chief Seidu Saaka Bukari, said the fair had become an effective platform for business education and outreach.

“This programme has helped us educate people on packaging and other important aspects of business development.”

“Those we may not be able to reach through our usual outreach programmes are able to come to the fair, where we educate them. Next year, we hope to sponsor the event again.”

The sponsors noted that the fair enables businesses to showcase their products and services, connect with new markets, build strategic partnerships and attract investment.

They also praised Channel One TV and Citi FM for sustaining an initiative that promotes entrepreneurship, innovation and trade across Northern Ghana.

“We want to commend the organisers for supporting and sustaining an event of this nature.”
