Miss Jane Maame Adwoa Gyimah-Amoako, Deputy General Manager of Tang Palace Hotel, has been named Outstanding Business Personality of the Year (Hospitality) at the Ghana Business League Awards 2026.
The award honours her contribution to Ghana’s hospitality industry and the leadership, innovation and operational excellence she has brought to her role.
Jane is a seasoned hospitality executive with over sixteen years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, business development and operational leadership across West Africa. At Tang Palace Hotel, a leading four-star business hotel in Accra, she oversees operational performance, guest experience, revenue management, cost control, team development and stakeholder reporting.
Before stepping into this role, she led the hotel’s Sales and Marketing function, where she drove brand positioning and commercial growth in a highly competitive market. Her work aligned brand visibility, guest engagement and marketing initiatives with real business results, lifting occupancy, revenue and profitability along the way.
Her move from marketing into operations reflects a rare combination of commercial insight and operational skill. That cross-functional experience has given her a deep understanding of what guests expect, and the ability to build systems that hold up over the long run.
Beyond Ghana, Jane has helped develop and establish hotel properties across the West African sub-region, building operational systems, setting service standards and shaping teams from the ground up.
That experience continues to inform her leadership today, particularly her focus on resilience, people development and sustainable growth.
She also serves as Assistant Secretary of the Ghana Hotels Association (Accra Region), where she contributes to advancing industry standards, strengthening stakeholder engagement and promoting professionalism across Ghana’s hospitality sector.
Throughout her career, Jane has bridged strategic sales, marketing and operational management with unusual ease. That blend of hands-on leadership and commercial acumen has earned her a reputation as a forward-thinking leader in the industry.
Speaking after the award, Miss Gyimah-Amoako said the recognition motivates her to keep contributing to the growth of Ghana’s hospitality industry. She dedicated the award to her team at Tang Palace Hotel and spoke about the importance of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement in building lasting success.
