The Technical University Senior Administrators’ Association of Ghana (TUSAAG) has resumed its indefinite nationwide strike, citing the failure of its employer to address concerns raised by the association.
In a statement dated July 20, 2026, TUSAAG said the decision followed an earlier communication issued on July 13, 2026, and the employer’s inability to respond to its demands.
“Subsequent to our communication dated the 13th July 2026 and the inability of our employer to attend to our concerns, we have…resumed our indefinite strike,” the association said.
TUSAAG directed all its members across the country’s technical universities to comply with the directive and stay away from work until further notice.
“All TUSAAG members in all Technical Universities are accordingly entreated to comply with this decision and stay away from work,” the statement added.
The association also cautioned management of the various technical universities against compelling its members to return to work during the industrial action.
“We also request management members of the Technical Universities to desist from forcing, intimidating or compelling TUSAAG members to report to work. Such actions will amount to violating our right to deploy strike as a legitimate tool to ventilate our concerns,” the statement said.
