A truck carrying spare parts caught fire on the Tema Motorway, causing heavy traffic congestion.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded promptly to the scene with three fire tenders, working diligently to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading further.

Their swift action helped avert a potential disaster, as the fire was brought under control before it could cause more extensive damage.

The GNFS has advised motorist coming from Accra to find alternative routes.

The incident occurred near the Accra Mall.

No casualties have been reported, and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
