The newly appointed officers are:

  2. Acting Chief of Army Staff – Brigadier General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu
  3. Acting Chief of Naval Staff – Commodore Godwin Livinus Bessing
  4. Acting Chief of Air Staff – Air Commodore Eric Agyen-Frempong
  5. Acting Chief of Staff – Brigadier General Glover Ashong Annan

A statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson and Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Monday, March 17, confirmed that the appointments will take effect from March 24, 2025.

Meanwhile, President Mahama met with the outgoing service chiefs, led by Chief of the Defence Staff General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, at the Flagstaff House.
