Management of Valley View University in the Greater Accra Region has expressed deep concern over the growing encroachment on its lands by developers.
The institution reports that approximately 10 acres of its property have already been taken over, with the situation escalating in recent weeks.
According to the university, the encroachment is beginning to affect academic activities on campus.
Speaking to journalists, the Registrar of the University, Albert Imbrah, called on government and relevant state agencies to intervene.

“Usually on Saturdays, we go to worship, and that is when you often find these people—whom I describe as trespassers—on the land, feverishly engaging in various activities. In just about two to three months, you wouldn’t believe the amount of work taking place, mostly on weekends,” he stated.
Mr. Imbrah added that as a non-profit institution, Valley View University is appealing to the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Education, and the security agencies to assist in curbing the encroachment and protecting the university’s property.
