The Office of the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+) is calling on the public to engage with its newly released programme document by reading, reflecting on its vision, and sharing feedback via social media.
In a statement, the Office emphasized that the initiative is a national effort and encouraged citizens, investors, development partners, and friends of Ghana to participate in shaping its direction.
“Following the directive of President John Dramani Mahama, we are circulating the 24H+ Programme document to engage more directly and meaningfully with you,” the statement read. “We invite you to read the document, reflect on the vision, and share your thoughts with us. The 24H+ Initiative belongs to all of us, and your voice matters.”
Ghanaians can send questions, recommendations, or ideas through the initiative’s official social media handles:
Instagram: @24hourplus
X (formerly Twitter): @24hourplus
TikTok: @24hourplus
The 24H+ programme is part of the Mahama administration’s strategy to promote inclusive and sustainable economic transformation by boosting productivity and exports through a 24-hour economy model.
The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+) is Ghana’s flagship economic transformation agenda.
It aims to build a self-reliant, industrial, and export-driven economy with integrated value chains, efficient markets, a competitive workforce, and strong regional and global trade, leading to inclusive growth, decent jobs, reduced import dependence and greater national resilience.
As outlined by President John Dramani Mahama, the 24H+ is both a destination and a programme. As a destination, it envisions a Ghana where productivity is so robust that economic activity runs around the clock. As a programme, it offers a clear and actionable framework to restructure our economy from the ground up through agro-processing, digital innovation, infrastructure, logistics, skills development, and export competitiveness.
The office said the 24H+ programme is fundamentally a citizens’ and partners’ mobilisation programme built on the conviction that the transformation is best achieved through the full national mobilisation of people, with clear roles for both the public and private sectors.
