A new governing board has been sworn in to oversee the operations of the National Theatre of Ghana, with a focus on revamping the performing arts sector.
The board, chaired by cultural advocate Korkor Amarteifio, was inaugurated by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, in Accra, on Monday, August 4.
She charged the board to make the theatre more accessible and vibrant for local and international audiences.
Board members include Henry Herbert Malm, Professor Samuel Aniegye Ntewusu, Esther Yara Attipoe, Nii-Tete Yartey, Rev. Hedwig Naa Tolloo Quist, Jordan Kofi Norshie, and Aku Dzifa Florence Glikpoe.
The National Theatre plays a crucial role in showcasing Ghanaian artistic excellence and cultural expression.
