Four people have been confirmed dead following a road accident at Asuboi, near Suhum, on the Kumasi–Accra highway on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
The accident involved a Sprinter bus with registration number GW-5535-24. Eyewitnesses say the vehicle was travelling at high speed when one of its tyres burst, causing the driver to lose control.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service, a total of 17 people were injured — 11 males and 6 females. Of the reported fatalities, three were male and one female.
The Sprinter bus was partially damaged in the crash, and several personal belongings, including bags, sandals, and food items, were scattered at the scene.
The injured were transported to the Suhum Government Hospital for treatment. Emergency teams reportedly arrived about 30 minutes after the incident.
