President of the Afro Arab Group, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, has renewed his commitment to championing Ghana’s green transition, stressing that “going green is the new way” and the youth must lead the charge.

Highlighting the Group’s latest sustainability initiative, Alhaji Salamu Amadu announced a partnership between Afro Arab and its Chinese collaborators to introduce 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs) into the Ghanaian market. The initiative is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs under a structured work-and-pay model aimed at empowering young people.

He underscored that the green transition is both an environmental necessity and an economic opportunity.

“The youth can push this agenda faster than anyone,” he said. “That is why we are partnering with our Chinese partners to bring in 1,000 EV cars to create jobs and support government efforts in the green transition.”

The EV project forms part of Afro Arab’s broader commitment to supporting government sustainability programmes, advancing renewable energy adoption, and accelerating Ghana’s shift toward a clean and modern transport system.

With global demand for climate-friendly solutions on the rise, the Afro Arab Group says it is positioning Ghana to become a regional leader in green mobility.

Through this initiative, Alhaji Salamu Amadu reinforces the message that youth empowerment, economic development, and environmental sustainability can advance together toward a cleaner future for Ghana and West Africa.
