Women in PR (WiPR) Ghana has officially inducted a new Executive Committee to lead the organisation for the 2026/2027 term.

The induction took place during the organisation’s end-of-year hangout, “PR in the Park,” held on December 13, 2025, at the Memory Place in Haatso, Accra.

The new leadership is expected to steer the organisation over the next two years, focusing on professional development, mentorship, and leadership opportunities for women in public relations and strategic communications.

Outgoing President Joyce Sackitey Ahiadorme reflected on her tenure and expressed confidence in the new team.

“It has been a privilege to serve Women in PR Ghana and work alongside professionals passionate about strengthening the PR industry.

“I am proud of our progress and confident that the incoming Executive Committee will continue to expand the organisation’s impact and reach,” she said.

Under her leadership, WiPR Ghana strengthened its programmes and solidified its reputation as a key platform for learning, networking, and leadership development for women in communications.

The new executives are Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny, sworn in as President, with Ohenewaa Brown as Vice President.

Other appointments include Gwendy Tetteh as Finance Coordinator, Deborah Bonney as Events Coordinator, Adisa Amanor-Wilks as Senior Communications and Diaspora Relations Coordinator, and Gloria Apprey as Communications Coordinator.

Addressing the gathering, newly appointed president, Ms Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny, said the new committee is committed to building on the achievements of the outgoing leadership while expanding opportunities for women practitioners and students.

“I am honoured by the confidence placed in me and the new Executive Committee. We aim to make the network an even more vibrant, supportive, and empowering space where women communicators can thrive. We will also expand thought leadership and capacity-building initiatives while amplifying our presence nationally, continentally, and globally,” she said.

About WiPR

These programmes aim to promote excellence, inclusivity, and leadership in the public relations sector.

The organisation encourages women PR professionals in Ghana and abroad to engage with its programmes as it continues to champion growth and leadership within the industry.
