Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, has overseen the distribution of tools and equipment to master craftsperson and apprentices in the constituency, as part of a government initiative to empower youth and reduce unemployment.

In a Facebook post on Friday, February 14, the MP explained that the exercise was conducted on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, in collaboration with her team, party executives, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), the National Youth Authority, and the N.A.P Regional Coordinator.
“This initiative forms part of our commitment to empowering the youth and reducing unemployment across the constituency by providing practical skills and resources that enable individuals to engage in meaningful, hands-on work,” she stated.

She noted that the support aims to promote self-reliance, productivity, and sustainable livelihoods, in line with the government’s 24-hour economy agenda.
Naa Okunor expressed gratitude to all stakeholders whose collaboration made the initiative successful, reiterating the commitment to creating opportunities that drive development and improve the lives of people in Awutu Senya East.
