The Salaga South Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Savannah Regional Minister and former MP for the area, Salifu Adam Braimah.

In a statement issued on April 12, 2026, the Constituency Executive Committee described the late politician’s death as a significant loss not only to his family and party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), but also to the entire Salaga South Constituency and the Savannah Region.

The NDC extended its condolences to the Kpembe Traditional Authority, the bereaved family, the NPP fraternity, and residents of the constituency.

The statement highlighted the late Hon. Braimah’s dedication to public service, noting his contributions to the development of Salaga South during his tenure as Member of Parliament and as a Regional Minister in the Savannah Region.

“His passing is not only a loss to his family and party (NPP) but to the entire Salaga South Constituency and the Savannah Region. In moments such as these, we are reminded that our shared humanity transcends political differences,” the statement said.

The Constituency Executives further joined residents in mourning the late former lawmaker and prayed for strength for his family in this difficult time. They also prayed that the Almighty Allah grants him eternal rest.

The statement was signed by the Salaga South NDC Constituency Chairman, Haruna Abdul-Aziz.

Meanwhile, the mortal remains of deceased has been airlifted to Kpembe for burial.

The late statesman is being laid to rest in accordance with family and traditional arrangements.
