The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has participated in an exclusive breakfast meeting organised by the National Petroleum Authority for chief executives and key stakeholders within Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.

The engagement brought together industry leaders, regulators and government officials to discuss ongoing policy reforms, operational challenges and strategies aimed at strengthening the country’s downstream petroleum industry.

Addressing participants at the meeting, Mr. Jinapor commended stakeholders for their continued collaboration with government and their role in supporting stability and growth within the sector.

According to the Minister, the discussions reflected a shared commitment among industry players to build a more resilient, efficient and forward-looking downstream petroleum industry capable of supporting Ghana’s broader economic development agenda.

He also reiterated government’s commitment to working closely with stakeholders to implement reforms aimed at improving operational efficiency, sustainability and long-term growth across the petroleum value chain.

The meeting forms part of broader efforts by the National Petroleum Authority to deepen stakeholder engagement and strengthen collaboration within Ghana’s petroleum downstream industry.

This closer coordination between government and private sector operators will be critical as Ghana seeks to improve energy security, enhance regulatory efficiency and position the downstream petroleum sector as a stronger contributor to economic growth.
