Some residents of Tema Community 25, around the Savannah Junction area, have been evicted following the enforcement of a court ruling by a developer who claims ownership of the disputed land.
Affected residents broke down in tears as they recounted years of payments made to secure ownership of the property.
According to them, they paid for the land on two separate occasions after different individuals emerged claiming ownership.
The residents said they refused to make a third payment when another claimant surfaced, insisting they had already fulfilled their financial obligations regarding the property.
The dispute culminated in the demolition of several structures, leaving residents devastated and raising concerns over the persistent issue of multiple land ownership claims and land litigation in the area.
