A total of 32 aspirants contesting various constituency executive positions of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Krachi Nchumuru Constituency have successfully undergone vetting ahead of the upcoming constituency executive elections.
The District Information Technology (IT) Coordinator of the party, Mr. Mark Takasi, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), expressing satisfaction with the smooth and transparent conduct of the vetting process.
He said the exercise was conducted peacefully and in accordance with the party’s guidelines, with all aspirants demonstrating commitment and enthusiasm to serve in various leadership roles.
Mr. Takasi noted that the completion of the vetting exercise marked an important milestone in the party’s preparations to elect competent and dedicated executives to steer its affairs in the constituency.
He expressed confidence in the party’s readiness for the elections, adding that all necessary arrangements had been put in place.
“We have successfully completed the vetting exercise, and all necessary arrangements are in place for the constituency executive elections. We are hopeful that the elections will be peaceful, transparent and further unite the party,” he said.
Mr. Takasi urged aspirants and their supporters to conduct their campaigns in a spirit of unity, mutual respect and healthy competition, stressing that the collective interest of the party should take precedence over individual ambitions.
He also appealed to members to maintain peace before, during and after the elections, and to support elected executives in strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and electoral prospects in the area.
The constituency executive elections are expected to attract significant participation from delegates, with party members expressing optimism that the process will produce capable leaders to advance the NPP’s growth in the constituency.
