The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has called for stronger collaboration among government institutions, businesses, and traditional authorities to ensure the successful implementation of the government’s 24-hour economy policy.

He said a coordinated approach and the creation of a conducive investment environment would be critical to transforming the policy into meaningful economic opportunities for Ghanaians.

Speaking at the 7th edition of the Ghana Investment and Trade Week in Accra on Tuesday, July 7, the Ga Mantse stressed that traditional leaders have an important role to play in Ghana’s development agenda due to their connection with communities and custodianship of land and culture.

“A nation that builds without its tradition builds without a foundation. We remain central to Ghana’s development agenda. We are custodians of the land, culture, and community, which are the very pillars upon which sustainable economic growth must stand,” he said.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II described the 24-hour economy policy as a transformative initiative with the potential to boost productivity, industrial growth, and job creation.

However, he noted that the success of the policy would depend on building trust, stability, and inclusiveness, adding that the contribution of traditional authorities should not be overlooked.

“The government’s 24-hour economy policy presents a transformative opportunity for Ghana. It is a pathway to increase productivity, industrial growth, and, most importantly, job creation for our people,” he added.

He urged stakeholders to work together to create the conditions needed to attract investment and support sustainable economic growth.
