Isaac Cofie has completed a free agent move to Spanish side Real Sporting de Gijon.

The 26-year-old signed to a two-year contract with an option for a further season after passing a mandatory medical on Tuesday.

Cofie, a defensive midfielder, arrives as the last signing by the Segunda Division side filling the gap created by the departure of Sergio Álvarez to SD Eibar.

The Ghana international will train with the Rojiblanco team in Mareo before his official presentation at midday local time.

Isaac Cofie recently ended an almost ten-year stint with Italian club Genoa. He has also previously featured for Torino, Piacenza Calcio, Sassuolo Calcio, Chievo Verona and Carpi.
