Citi TV/Citi FM’s ultimate singing competition Voice Factory begins today

The live shows of the highly anticipated musical reality show, Voice Factory season 5, are set to begin today, Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 6:30pm.

The show, powered by Citi TV and Citi FM, will air every Saturday for the next 13 weeks.

Voice Factory aims to transform the musical careers of 11 talented contestants who have been carefully selected from various parts of the country.

These contestants will showcase their vocal abilities and compete against each other for the ultimate prize of GH¢20,000 and the chance to become Ghana’s next music star.

After receiving hundreds of entries, the entrants were auditioned in a two-day session on May 20 and 21.

The top 11 contestants were unveiled on the Breakfast Daily on Citi TV on Monday, June 5.

They are:

  • Agebavi Grace Wilson
  • Rigwell Ofori
  • Henry Acquah
  • Ernest Yeboah Asare
  • Mary Bella
  • Gamor Jerry Etornam
  • Benedicta Mawutor Agbana
  • Ahmed Nimatu Maltiti
  • Christabel Tettevi Princess
  • Seyiram Akusika Agbozo
  • Emmanuel Ayamah

Commenting after the audition process, one of the judges remarked, “We have got some really good singers, and I think they are workable. I was impressed by a few of them, which is a good thing because we really want amazing singers on the show this season. I think so far, so good.”

The top 11 contestants will embark on a thrilling journey, navigating through 12 weeks of themed competitions such as Reggae/Dancehall, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Pop, Afro-pop/Hiplife, Highlife, Inspirational Gospel, Duet (Team-Up), Face-Offs, Acoustic Night, and Artiste Night.

Throughout these weeks, there will be eliminations leading up to the grand finale.

The ultimate winner of this year’s Voice Factory competition will be awarded an impressive cash prize of GH¢20,000, recognizing their exceptional talent and hard work.
