A 63-year old Mobile Money Agent in the Tafo Municipality of the Ashanti Region has emerged the winner in this year’s MTN Mobile Money Agents Awards in Kumasi.

Kwadwo Adu Gyamfi walked away with a branded MTN Hyundai i10 salon car as the ultimate prize.

The annual event is to acknowledge, recognize and celebrate Mobile Money (MoMo) agents in the Northern Sector who have exhibited professionalism in the discharge of their duties as far as Mobile Money operations are concerned.

Mr. Adu Gyamfi, who could not hide his excitements after he was mentioned as the winner danced to the stage with so much joy and happiness glowing all over his face.

He was presented with the keys to the Hyundai i10 salon car.

The winner, who has worked as a MoMo agent for over ten years has attributed his recognition to hard work and loyalty to MTN-Ghana.

According to him, his daily turnovers increased as a results of the consistency he applied in loading E-cash and making sure subscribers of MTN do not lack when whenever they need cash to make their transactions.

“I will, first of all, thank God Almighty and Fidelity Bank because they introduced me to MTN to do business with them. I won a Motorbike last year and through my hard work and relentless efforts I have won a car this year. I want to tell MTN to prepare for a helicopter for me next year when I win again,” he said.

He advised MoMo agents across the country to remain loyal to MTN and discharge their duties diligently.

Owner of Global Excellence Distribution Services at Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region was also adjudged the best MoMo agent for that region.

George Padmo Kumi took away a Motorbike as his reward.

Other agents also won motorbikes, 40” and 49” inch LED TV Samsung TVs as well as iPhones.

Speaking at the event, the General Manager for Mobile Money Financial Services at MTN-Ghana, Eli Hini, urged the agents to serve as brand ambassadors for MTN.

He said their actions and inaction have the tendency of affecting the image of the company.

He entreated the agents to exhibit professionalism in the discharge of their duties and must not allow customers to go through any difficulty in accessing the services of MTN.

He warned that agents who fail to adhere to the rules and regulations of the company’s operations will be dealt with.
