Reporters Without Borders wants a thorough probe into circumstances that led to the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an investigator with Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye PI.
The leading freedom fighting organization has also described as ‘unacceptable’ why a Member of Parliament alleged to have had a hand in the killing has been left unpunished after what has been described as ‘threats’ to the life of the investigator.
Ahmed Hussein-Suale known for his work in the Tiger Eye PI investigative piece on corruption in Ghana football was shot dead the night of Wednesday, January 16 by unidentified assailants in Accra.

Earlier, Reporters Without Borders was alarmed by threats to the life of Anas Aremeyaw Anas ahead of his documentary.
But in a recent tweet, RWB said it is calling on “authorities to lead a serious probe ad a serious probe after an investigative reporter was shot dead. It is completely unacceptable that a ruling party MP went unpunished despite threats made on live against this reporter.”

Int’l Press Institute asks Ghana to investigate Ahmed Hussein-Suale’s murder
The International Press Institute (IPI), a global network of editors, media executives and journalists, has condemned the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an investigator with Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye PI.
According to the IPI, the Ghana’s government must as a matter of urgency investigate, his killing and bring his killers to face justice.
According to an analysis of data collected by the IPI on the death of some journalists, investigation into cases of targeted killings of journalists are often slow and many of the perpetrators have not been brought to justice.
Meanwhile, the outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, who was captured on video last year inciting violence against the slain Ahmed Hussein-Suale has distanced himself from the death of the investigator.
According to the legislator, Ahmed Hussein-Suale is irrelevant to his life hence cannot fathom why people will link his death to him despite publicly inciting violence on him on national television.
‘I expect Police to bring Ahmed’s killers to book’ -Nana Addo
President Nana Akufo Addo has also condemned the killing of an investigator with Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye PI , Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
While extending condolences to the family of the deceased, the President said he expects the Police to bring the perpetrators of the act to book.
“I’ve learnt with sadness of the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an associate of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas. I condemn the act unreservedly, and extend my condolences to his family. I expect the police to bring to book, as soon as possible, the perpetrators of this heinous crime. Once again, my heartfelt condolences,” said the President.
