GFA Elections: Wilfred Palmer out of contention after unsuccessful vetting

Bank roller of Tema Youth, Wilfried Kweku Osei, has failed to make the final list of candidates for the upcoming Ghana Football Association Elections.

The final list of candidates was released by the Normalization Committee earlier on Friday, and sees the former GFA Executive Committee member absent.

The Elections Committee chaired by Frank Davies Esq, with Mrs Marian Barnor, lawyer Mr Emmanuel Darkwah, Reginald Laryea, a Marketing and Business Executive and Richard Akpokavie as members didn’t deem the Tema Youth owner fit enough for the position hence his omission from the final list.

There were strong media reports suggesting Mr. Osei’s omission, but he vehemently denied the reports branding them as untrue.

The latest development leaves six candidates vying for the position of GFA President, including former Vice Presidents, George Afriyie and Fred Pappoe.
