Naval Captain (GN) Anthony K. Sarfo of the Ghana Armed Forces has been bestowed with the prestigious Silver Cross of Honour for distinguished service.
The award ceremony took place on Tuesday, 28th November 2023, at an event held at the German Ambassador’s residence in Accra.
The award was presented by the German Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Daniel Krull, to Captain (GN) Sarfo. In his speech, Mr. Krull commended him for his exceptional, meritorious service and notable performance of duty as the liaison officer, supervising and coordinating logistics for German projects in Ghana over the past five years.
Mr. Krull further stated that the recognition by the Federal Government of Germany to award Captain (GN) Sarfo the prestigious Bundeswehr Silver Cross of Honour was due to his loyal discharge of duty, selflessness, and dedication to the completion of their projects across the country, as well as his outstanding service to the German Armed Forces.
Captain (GN) Sarfo was also honoured with the Ghana Order of Merit in the Combat Award category of the year for his extraordinary service to Ghana and humanity. This recognition took place at a recent event held in March 2023 at the La Palm Beach Hotel.
The Ghana Merit Award aims to honour, empower, support, and acknowledge deserving businesses and organizations to promote international youth development and have a significant impact on regional and national economic progress.
