The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has informed customers and the public about challenges in vending and purchasing electricity credits due to disruptions in internet connectivity.

Ghanaians have since last week been grappling with internet challenges.

The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications reported significant outages in multiple submarine fibre optic cables providing internet connectivity to the country, with some cables completely down and others operating at limited capacity.

ECG, in a statement on Sunday, March 17, 2024, reassured customers that they are working with service providers and metering vendors to address the issue.

They also apologized for the inconvenience and promised to continue efforts to deliver reliable service.
