The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has urged Ghanaians to vote for the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to maintain Ghana’s positive economic growth.

Mr. Ahiagbah eulogised the economic successes of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government, expressing that Bawumia taking over as president will build on that to accelerate rapid economic growth.

Quoting president Akufo-Addo’s famous assurance during the COVID-19 pandemic to revamp Ghana’s economy where he said, “we know how to bring back the economy,” Ahiagbah said Bawumia will not deviate on that objective.

Making the appeal on his X, formerly Twitter handle, Ahiagbah wrote that, “Ghana’s economy is projected to grow 5.5% in 2024. This is nearly a 100% turnaround from the 2023 performance of 2.9%. The economy is moving in the right direction, and with Bawumia in the driver’s seat from 7th January 2025, this positive growth path will accelerate to improve conditions for Ghanaians.”

H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said it, and it is happening: “we know how to bring back the economy….”
