During the visit, the delegation from FirstBank announced the Bank’s support for the upcoming 2024 National Maulid celebrations, scheduled to take place from Sunday, September 29, to Saturday, October 5, 2024.

The Maulid celebrations commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad and include various activities such as a national Maulid walk, a cultural display, a religious procession, and a grand durbar.

In his remarks, Allen Quaye expressed the Bank’s appreciation for the opportunity to meet with the National Chief Imam and highlighted FirstBank’s commitment to fostering relationships with diverse communities across Ghana. He emphasised the Bank’s enthusiasm for contributing to the success of the National Maulid celebrations, acknowledging the important role such events play in promoting unity and cultural heritage.

We are proud to contribute to an event that brings people together in peace and unity.”

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his gratitude to FirstBank for their support. He praised the Bank’s efforts to engage with the Muslim community and commended their active role in promoting national unity through meaningful contributions to religious and cultural events.
