FirstBank Ghana has officially opened a new branch at Tema Community 25, strategically located at the Greenville Hospital Junction, as part of its ongoing commitment to bringing quality banking services closer to customers and supporting business growth across Ghana.

The new Community 25 branch will serve the rapidly growing population of residents, entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), corporate organisations, and other businesses within the community and surrounding areas. Customers will have convenient access to a comprehensive range of retail, commercial, and digital banking solutions tailored to meet their financial needs.

The opening of the branch forms part of FirstBank Ghana’s strategy to expand its footprint in key commercial locations while promoting financial inclusion and economic development. Tema Community 25 has evolved into one of the fastest-growing residential and commercial hubs making it an ideal location for the Bank to strengthen its presence and support businesses that drive local economic activity.

Speaking in Accra, Osahon Ogieva, Managing Director/CEO of FirstBank Ghana, described the new branch as another milestone in the Bank’s commitment to delivering accessible, customer-focused banking services across the country.

“The opening of our Tema Community 25 branch reflects FirstBank Ghana’s commitment to supporting businesses and empowering individuals. This vibrant community continues to experience remarkable growth, and we are delighted to partner with SMEs, entrepreneurs, and families by providing innovative financial solutions that help them achieve their aspirations,” he said.

Mr. Ogieva noted that SMEs remain central to Ghana’s economic development and reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to supporting their growth through tailored financial solutions, advisory services, and innovative digital banking platforms.

“At FirstBank, we are committed to delivering the ultimate gold standard of value and excellence. Beyond providing financial services, we build lasting relationships with our customers by understanding their needs and delivering solutions that support sustainable growth and long-term success,” he added.

The Community 25 branch offers a full range of banking services for individuals and businesses including loans and advances, foreign exchange transactions, digital banking, remittances, and collections for utilities, school fees, and government-related payments.

Commenting on the new branch opening, FirstBank Ghana’s Enoch Adams, Acting Head of Retail Banking said the new branch reinforces the Bank’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting the growth of businesses within the Tema enclave.

“Community 25 is home to a dynamic business community made up of SMEs, traders, professionals, and growing enterprises. Our presence here allows us to provide personalised financial solutions, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute meaningfully to the area’s economic development,” he said.

He added that while digital banking continues to reshape the financial services landscape, physical branches remain essential for providing advisory services, building trust, and delivering personalised support to customers.

The opening of the Tema Community 25 branch underscores FirstBank Ghana’s continued investment in expanding access to financial services and supporting economic transformation across the country. By combining innovative digital solutions with convenient physical banking locations, the Bank remains committed to empowering individuals, supporting businesses, and creating long-term value for the communities it serves.
