The Second Deputy Minority Whip and Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has pledged his commitment to playing a pivotal role in the leadership of the caucus in Parliament.
According to Ahmed Shaib, the Minority caucus, led by the MP for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, is under the guidance of an astute politician and capable leader.
The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Parliament is composed of: Minority Leader: Alexander Afenyo-Markin-MP for Effutu, Deputy Minority Leader: Patricia Appiagyei-MP for Asokwa, Minority Chief Whip: Frank Annoh-Dompreh-MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, First Deputy Minority Whip: Habib Iddrisu-MP for Tolon, Second Deputy Minority Whip: Jerry Ahmed Shaib-MP for Weija-Gbawe.
Speaking to Citi News, Jerry Ahmed Shaib expressed his determination to support all parliamentary efforts to ensure the NPP performs exceptionally in the 9th Parliament.
“I think we already have a formidable leadership, led by our own Honourable Alexander Afenyo-Markin. And you have Patricia Appiagyei supporting him, and you have my direct boss, Frank Annoh-Dompreh and then Habib Iddrisu.
“I am just going to support with the activities already [in place], and I am going to be the little man who will be doing the errand job. So as much as I am aware, whatever it takes to make the New Patriotic Party look better in Parliament with the support of my seniors, I am sure we are going to do that.”
