The leadership of the staff groups of the Volta River Authority/Northern Electricity Distribution Company (VRA/NEDCo) has hailed the appointment of John Okine Yamoah as the Acting Managing Director of NEDCo.

They expressed confidence in his ability to drive growth and efficiency within the company.

In a statement congratulating him on his appointment, the senior staff leadership highlighted his humility, strong work ethic, and nearly three decades of experience within NEDCo as key qualities that make him well-suited for the role.

“Having worked in NEDCo for the past 29 years in various capacities, you have gained the necessary experience to lead this institution effectively. Your deep understanding of our operations and leadership skills make you the best person for the job,” the statement read.

The leadership further emphasised their belief in his ability to guide both management and staff toward improved performance.

“We have no doubt that under your leadership, NEDCo will witness significant progress. Your commitment and strong work ethic have always been evident, and we trust that you will bring the same dedication to this high office,” a spokesperson for the staff leadership stated.

The staff also pledged their full support, assuring the Acting MD of their collective commitment to ensuring NEDCo achieves its vision of becoming the leading power distributor in the sub-region.

“As we work together, we remain confident that your leadership will bring about the needed transformation. We pray for God’s guidance and wisdom for you as you take on this important role,” the statement said.
