Oil and Gas Baron and the Chief Executive Officer of renowned Veros Petroleum Limited, Yahya Tarek Diab, has been adjudged Global Best Icon in Oil and Gas Award at the tremendous Forty Under 40 Awards Global held in Dubai.
The accolade acknowledged Yahya’s exceptional leadership in transforming the Oil and Gas sector into a model of sustainability and innovation.
Veros Petroleum, since its establishment in 2014, has emerged as a trusted name in Ghana’s Oil and Gas Marketing industry, known for its licensed supply of Petroleum products.
To the awarding board, Yahya Tarek Diab, who is an accomplished Entrepreneur, Technologist, Pilot and Philanthropist and has excelled in tackling complex challenges and delivering optimal solutions, earning him this outstanding recognition.
The forty Under 40 Awards Global, organised by Xodus Communications Limited, seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the world’s most influential and accomplished CEO who are verified and constantly committed to staying relevant to global business under the age of 40 years. The awards scheme also aims to connect global champions for business.
Addressing the gathering after receiving the remarkable honour, Yahya Tarek Diab said, “You don’t have to be Great to start, you have to start to be Great. Life gives us two options: either you sink or swim, and 10 years ago, I decided to swim.
“Today, I stand as the CEO of Veros Petroleum, one of Ghana’s Oil and Gas marketing companies. Proudly, not only are we working with the biggest in the industry, but we are competing against them.
“At the age of 27, my company has achieved over twenty-one fuel station retail outlets across Ghana and has employed over 400 direct and indirect people and the workforce. I was recognised as one of the youngest Oil and Gas CEO in the sector.
“As I take this award, not only will I present it to my company but to a nation that has welcomed various diversities and has welcomed us with its love and care, and that nation is Ghana, thank you”, he said with a smile.

The 2nd edition of the Forty Under 40 Awards Global saw competitors from about 15 different countries across the globe.
