The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has expressed his appreciation for Citi FM and Channel One TV for their contributions to the development of athletics in Ghana.
Citi FM and Channel One TV have, over the years, organised swimming competitions, bringing together swimming teams from across the country. The organisations also host the Business Olympics annually, which brings corporate organisations together to compete in various sporting disciplines.
Speaking on their efforts in an interview on Channel One TV’s Face to Face on Tuesday, April 15, Adams acknowledged the significant role these media outlets have played in filling gaps left by the government in promoting the sport.
He praised the consistency and dedication of Citi FM and Channel One TV in championing athletics, ensuring its growth and visibility across the country.
“Let me salute Citi FM and Channel One TV for the things you do with athletics. I am so happy that what government was failing, you picked it up and you have done it the way you have one and you are running it continually,” he remarked.
