Wormplex 400 Tablets & Suspension, produced by JM Addo & Sons Pharmaceutical Company Limited, has been named OTC Advert of the Year at the maiden edition of the PSGH Pharma Excellence Awards.
The prestigious ceremony was held on Friday, April 11 at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The award recognizes Wormplex 400 for its exceptional creativity, effectiveness, and impact in promoting over-the-counter (OTC) products.
Its advertising campaign was lauded for capturing consumer attention, educating the public, and significantly boosting brand visibility — setting a new benchmark for excellence in OTC marketing.
Organized by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH), the event celebrated 23 individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the pharmaceutical industry, including achievements in research, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, entrepreneurship, and patient care.

Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah-Akandoh, who graced the ceremony, applauded PSGH for its leadership and dedication to national development. He reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing local pharmaceutical manufacturing to reduce dependence on imports and strengthen the country’s medicine security.
President of PSGH, Dr. Samuel Kow Donkoh, described the event as a landmark in recognizing the often-unseen work of pharmaceutical professionals. He reaffirmed the Society’s commitment to upholding ethical standards, promoting continuous professional growth, and advocating for policies that empower local pharmaceutical enterprises.
