At a brief ceremony in Accra on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Mr. Debrah emphasised the critical role MiDA plays in the government’s development agenda and called on the newly constituted board to lend their full support to Mr. Mould in advancing the authority’s objectives.

The newly inaugurated board is chaired by Charles Abugre Akelyira and includes five ministers of state: Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the Minister of Finance, John Abdulai Jinapor, the Minister of Energy, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, the Minister of Trade, Agribusiness and Industries.

Other members of the board are Alexander Kofi-Mensah Mould, the Chief Executive of MiDA, John Awuah, a private sector representative from the Private Enterprise Foundation, Ralph Mawuenyega Kojo Ayitey, also a private sector representative from the Association of Ghana Industries, and Ing. Dr. William Amuna.

Speaking on behalf of the board’s chairperson, the Minister of Energy, John Abdulai Jinapor, pledged the board’s commitment to supporting President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda.

He stressed that the board would work diligently to fast-track initiatives that promote sustainable economic growth.

“We are poised to help the President achieve his reset agenda, and we will do everything possible to accelerate the economic growth of the country,” Mr. Jinapor affirmed.

The newly formed board is expected to provide strategic direction and oversight to MiDA as it executes its mandate in alignment with the government’s development priorities.
