A building housing a family of three has collapsed in Anwiafutu, in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, leaving an 11-year-old child in critical condition.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, October 22, 2025, around 3:45 am. According to reports, all three occupants, mother, father, and their child, were trapped under the debris before being rescued and rushed to the Anwiafutu Health Centre for medical attention.
Local authorities say the parents have since been treated and discharged, while the child remains in critical condition and is still receiving treatment at the facility.
The exact cause of the collapse is not yet known.
