The Appointments Committee of Parliament is currently vetting Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie for the position of Chief Justice, following his nomination by President John Dramani Mahama.
The vetting, which is taking place in Parliament House, will enable committee members to assess Justice Baffoe-Bonnie’s qualifications, judicial philosophy, leadership record, and vision for Ghana’s judiciary.
Justice Baffoe-Bonnie, who is currently the acting Chief Justice, has served in the judiciary for over two decades and is known for his rulings on high-profile constitutional and human rights cases.
