Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has cast doubt on the chances of former Assin Central Member of Parliament and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, winning the party’s presidential primary scheduled for January 31.
According to Dankwah, Mr. Agyapong is unlikely to secure the required 50 percent plus one vote needed to win the contest outright.
Speaking on Channel One TV’s The Point of View with Bernard Avle on Wednesday, January 28, Dankwah said his assessment was based on long-standing experience in political polling.
“I have done this job long enough. Kennedy cannot cross 50 percent plus one,” he stated.
His comments follow the release of Global InfoAnalytics’ final poll on January 23, which tipped former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to win the NPP presidential primary.
The poll projects Dr. Bawumia as the clear frontrunner with 57 percent of the vote, while Kennedy Agyapong trails with 28 percent. Dr. Bryan Acheampong is projected to obtain 13 percent, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum two percent, and Kwabena Agyapong zero percent.
The survey was conducted between December 29, 2025, and January 23, 2026, using a nationwide sample of 10,133 respondents. It covered all 16 regions and 272 constituencies and employed a random probability sampling method through computer-assisted telephone interviews.
