The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has been discharged from the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) after receiving treatment following a road accident in the Oti Region.
The traditional ruler was involved in the accident while returning to Accra from a private visit to the Yaa Naa in Tamale. The visit formed part of ongoing engagements among traditional authorities aimed at strengthening unity and reinforcing bonds of mutual respect.
Reports indicate that the Ga Mantse sustained no major injuries, while his driver was hospitalised for serious injuries.
Medical officials at UGMC confirmed that the Ga Mantse is in stable condition and fit to resume his duties.
The incident had drawn national attention, highlighting concerns over road safety for public figures and traditional authorities travelling across the country.
The Ga Mantse is expected to resume his official engagements in Accra in the coming days.
