President John Dramani Mahama is expected to arrive in Zambia for a three-day state visit at the invitation of President Hakainde Hichilema.
He will be arriving from Dubai, where he attended the World Governments Summit, aboard an aircraft provided by the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
A ceremonial welcome will be held at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, bringing together the Zambia President, members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials from Ghana and Zambia, cultural performers and more.
A major highlight of the visit will be President Mahama’s address to the National Assembly of Zambia, where he is anticipated to outline Ghana’s vision for a more integrated and prosperous Africa.
Ahead of the visit, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Zambia, Elizabeth Nyantakyi, said the engagement would strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
She disclosed that several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) are expected to be signed, including a visa waiver agreement between Ghana and Zambia.
