The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has attributed the ongoing power outages in parts of the Greater Accra Region to faults caused by a heavy rainstorm.
In a public notice issued on Sunday, March 29, 2026, the power distributor explained that the disruption in electricity supply follows damage to its network during the downpour.
ECG assured customers that engineers have been deployed and are working diligently to restore power to affected areas as quickly as possible.
The company is also urging customers experiencing outages within their homes or premises to report to the nearest ECG office or contact its call centre on 0302 611 611. Customers can also reach the company via its official social media handles for assistance.
ECG expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the outages and appealed to the public for patience as restoration efforts continue.
