Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, has officially cut the sod for the construction of key infrastructure projects at Bole Senior High School, aimed at enhancing teaching and learning conditions.
The initiatives, funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), include a modern ICT laboratory, two one-storey dormitory blocks for boys and girls, a new assembly hall, and a four-in-one teachers’ bungalow expected to accommodate up to sixteen families.
Speaking during the ceremony on Tuesday, March 10, Alhaji Sulemana emphasised that the projects form part of the government’s broader plan to upgrade Bole Senior High School to Category A status.
He noted that improved infrastructure and accommodation for teachers would promote stability, retain staff, and foster a better learning environment.
“We are working hard to elevate this school from its current category to Category A. To achieve this, key infrastructure needs must be met. That is why we are constructing a four-in-one bungalow facility and other essential projects,” he said.
The Headmaster of Bole Senior High School, Abubakari Mahama Salia, pledged the school’s full cooperation with contractors to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the projects. He also appealed to the government to provide additional infrastructure to support the school’s anticipated growth.
Students also expressed gratitude for the initiative. Patience Giyaw thanked Alhaji Sulemana and President John Dramani Mahama for spearheading the projects and requested an ambulance for the school to handle emergencies efficiently.
The Chief Executive Officer of Blessing Construction Limited, Osman Hudu, assured the MP and school authorities of the company’s commitment to delivering quality work within the stipulated timeframe.
