The President of the Zonta Club of Accra, Merely Wood, has reaffirmed the club’s commitment to advancing the rights and well-being of women and girls through sustained advocacy, service, and strategic partnerships.
She made this known at the official launch of the Club’s 30th anniversary celebrations in Accra.
According to her, the milestone is not only a moment to celebrate three decades of impact but also an opportunity to deepen efforts aimed at expanding opportunities and strengthening support systems for women and girls across communities.
Zonta Club of Accra has, over the years, championed initiatives focused on education, health, and empowerment, contributing to improved livelihoods for many vulnerable groups.
The anniversary celebration is expected to feature a series of activities, including community outreach programmes, advocacy campaigns, and stakeholder engagements, all geared towards reinforcing the club’s mission and amplifying its impact.
The event also brought together members, partners, and stakeholders who commended the club for its dedication to promoting gender equality and social development over the past 30 years.
