The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Education and Google for Education, represented by its Global Managing Director, Kelvin Kells.

The strategic agreement marks a major step in Ghana’s drive to modernise education by integrating advanced Artificial Intelligence technologies into teaching and learning across the country.

The partnership is expected to strengthen digital literacy, build teachers’ capacity, promote innovation in classrooms, and equip Ghanaian students with the critical 21st-century skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven global economy.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Education Minister described the collaboration as a transformative milestone that reinforces the government’s commitment to leveraging technology, innovation, and strategic global partnerships to improve educational outcomes and prepare Ghanaian learners for the future of work.

The agreement further positions Ghana as a forward-looking nation determined to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation to create a competitive, inclusive, and future-ready education system.
This latest collaboration underscores the government’s broader vision of ensuring that no Ghanaian child is left behind in the rapidly evolving digital age.
