The Bureau of National Intelligence (BNI) has invited the former Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, Dr Kingsley Agyemang, to assist with investigations into alleged scholarship-related scandal during his tenure under the esrwhile NPP administration.

Dr Agyemang told Citi News that he honoured the invitation, reported to the Bureau on Tuesday, May 5 where he provided his statement, and left after the engagement.

The development follows a recent investigative report by The Fourth Estate, which alleged that scholarships are being disproportionately awarded to well-connected and affluent individuals in the country.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has disclosed that it is also conducting an ongoing investigation into the operations of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, dating back to July 2023.
