Accra is set to host one of Africa’s biggest beauty and wellness gatherings as the highly anticipated Legacy Expo 2026 prepares to celebrate 10 years of impact within the continent’s beauty, cosmetics and wellness industry.
The event, organised under the banner of the 10th Beauty, Cosmetics & Wellness West Africa, will take place from June 3 to June 5, 2026, at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) Auditorium.
This year’s edition is themed “10 Years of Impact: The Legacy Era,” reflecting a decade of growth, innovation and transformation in Africa’s beauty and wellness space.
According to the organisers, the Expo will bring together top beauty brands, entrepreneurs, creatives, policymakers, investors and industry stakeholders from across Africa and other parts of the world to explore opportunities for collaboration, business growth and innovation.
The event, formerly known as the Africa Makeup & Beauty (AMB) Fair, has evolved since its launch in 2016 and is now regarded as Africa’s largest trade exhibition dedicated to the beauty, cosmetics and wellness sectors.
Organisers disclosed that the 2026 edition is expected to host more than 300 exhibitors and attract over 1,000 professionals and stakeholders from countries including South Korea, Dubai, Egypt, Turkey, Nigeria and India.
The three-day Expo will feature a wide range of activities designed to support business development and industry networking. Participants are expected to benefit from business networking sessions, business-to-business matchmaking opportunities, product exhibitions and live demonstrations from both international and local brands.
Attendees will also have access to high-level panel discussions focusing on industry trends, innovation, sustainability and the future of Africa’s beauty and wellness economy.
In addition, startup pitch sessions will be organised to support emerging entrepreneurs and provide young businesses with opportunities to connect with investors and strategic partners.
The organisers also announced that there will be discount sales for students, professionals and industry experts attending the event.
Speaking ahead of the Expo, the organisers highlighted the significance of the milestone edition and its role in shaping the future of the industry across the continent.
“Legacy Expo 2026 is not just a celebration of the past 10 years, but a bold step into the future of Africa’s beauty and wellness economy. We are creating a platform where ideas, innovation, and investment converge to shape enduring African brands.”
The organisers further indicated that strategic partnerships with international markets, particularly through collaborations between Makeup Ghana and the ACE Group from India and Dubai, continue to strengthen Ghana’s position as a major gateway for trade and investment within the ECOWAS region.
They expressed optimism that the Expo would further boost Africa’s beauty and wellness ecosystem by encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship and stronger international partnerships.
Legacy Expo 2026 will remain free for attendees, giving participants access to networking opportunities, industry insights, exhibitions and exclusive product deals throughout the event.
Organisers have encouraged beauty professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, students and members of the public to participate in what is expected to be one of the biggest beauty and wellness events on the African calendar.
