The Ghana Police Service has arrested another suspect in connection with the kidnapping of a 15-year-old boy in the Northern Region, as investigations into the case intensify, bringing the total number of arrest to two.
The suspect, identified only as Umaru, was arrested by police personnel in the Kpandai District and is currently in custody pending further investigations.
Police said the victim, who was kidnapped at Kabulya in the Nanumba South District, was later found abandoned in critical condition with severe gunshot wounds to the neck and arms.
The boy was rushed to the Kpandai Hospital; however, due to the severity of the case, he was later transferred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, the suspect has also been transferred to the regional command as investigations continue.
