The second Roundtable Discussion of the 2026 Citi Business Festival will take place on Monday, June 15, 2026.

It will bring together policymakers, urban development experts, financiers and industry leaders to propose measures on how Ghana can build competitive cities capable of driving long-term economic growth.

The session, themed “Building Competitive Cities: Infrastructure, Innovation and Investment for Sustainable Economic Growth,” focuses on the critical role of urban infrastructure, planning, housing and investment in enhancing productivity and attracting capital.

Ghana’s urban population continues to expand therefore, the upcoming dialogue is expected to assess the policy, financing and planning frameworks needed to develop resilient and investment-ready cities that can support industrialisation, job creation and sustainable development.

The panel will feature leading voices from the built environment, finance and urban planning sectors, including David Ofosu-Dorte, Founder of AB & David Africa as the main presenter.

Others include Yaa Obenewaa Opoku-Agyemang, Executive Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering; Percy Anaab Bukari, President of the Ghana Institute of Planning; Tony Asare, President of the Ghana Institute of Architects; Nana Kwadwo Boakye-Akyeampong, Senior Manager for Real Estate Financing at Absa Bank Ghana; and Kofi Adabor Ofori-Amanfo, Managing Director of LMI Homes Limited.

It will be live at 11:00am on Channel One TV and Citi FM social media platforms.

Viewers are expected to gain insights into how infrastructure development, innovation and private sector investment can be leveraged to transform Ghana’s cities into engines of economic growth and competitiveness.

The first roundtable session held last week, explored how Ghanaian businesses can maximise opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and compete more effectively within Africa’s single market.

The 2026 Citi Business Festival is powered by Citi 97.3 FM and Channel One TV in partnership with Absa Bank and proudly sponsored by Absa Bank, MTN Ghana, Zonda Tec Ghana Limited and Petra Trust.
